Sweet Protection engineered the Volata 2Vi® Mips helmet with cutting-edge materials, technologies and production methods. Our 2Vi® helmet technology platform has three crucial elements: a new shell technology with variable elasticity, an EPS shock absorbing structure with multiple densities and a unique 2-layer Mips safety system to reduce harmful rotational forces from certain impacts that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. The new 2-layer Mips system also provides unparalleled comfort out of the box.

The Volata 2Vi® Mips feature a state-of-the-art ABS Race Thermoplastic shell. In combination with Sweet Protection’s Premium Impact Shields, it ensures effective impact dissipation and distributes impacts over a larger area in crucial zones. Furthermore, extra front and rear in-molded gate shields provide protection against the battering a racer takes from gate hits and other impacts. Developed with World Champion alpinists on our team, this is the ultimate helmet for those who are driven by speed and called to push their limits out there on the hill.

Additional features include emergency removal earpads and two-piece ear ports for minimal disruption to hearing. The Volata 2Vi® Mips accommodates Sweet Protection’s Slalom Chin Guard (sold separately), which can be easily mounted or removed in a matter of seconds without tools.
